I met Kim through the home school co-op we attend. Immediately I was like ‘Whoa! How is she so calm with 9 kids and my hairs are turning gray with just two kids and a baby on the way?’ And I was amazed at how kind, sweet and fun her children were. They are helpful and genuinely say hello and smile back when you smile at them. Even in my, um how do you say “cluelessness of adoption and raising children of 9” Kim was very gracious. She welcomed and answered my questions and even the questions that my kids had about her family. I was relieved because I knew there was a chance I would have put my foot in my mouth. Kim keeps it real! She doesn’t ever claim she is a perfect wife (though her hubby says she is an AMAZING wife) that her mothering is perfect or that her children are perfect…but I know she will always claim that the Lord Jesus is. And I know for a fact that is what keeps her calm and smiling…clinging to who He is-GOD.
