I was reminded…
Again, this week, I’m a reminded to savor the moment. Thanks to a dear friend…Wanida…I think you should head over to her newly published blog and dive in and see what she’s up to. I know you won’t be disappointed.
Oh yeah, where was I? Oh again savor…right? So I did! I began to savor the moments again! Thinking back to the first time we brought Chloe to the Del Mar Fair. Yes, it will forever be called the Del Mar Fair in our home. We went today with Chloe and Walle…and just thinking back to the days when they first crossed those gates. How so much has changed for these two. How things have changed, from crying to now being able to voice the excitement to watch pot belly pigs race around for an Oreo cookie or being able to voice which rides they would like to try or what food they want to eat. Then I imagine the future, when the family of four will be a family of five when we return next year or imagine 10 years from now, when they are trying to escape the chaperone us parents and wandering the fair on their own.
So I will savor some more…as we go on vacation for a week starting this coming Saturday. We head to Yosemite. I know many are jealous. We’ve heard from so many and even on television how perfect it is to visit right now as the waterfalls are falling at full force.
As we vacation, and enjoy family time, Thursday Afternoon Coffee will be taking a break…silent for a week. To savor, to be rejuvenated, to enjoy my hubby and to enjoy my children.
