Little things…make your day or make you want to forget it?

Oh it’s the little things in life that can either make your day and cause you to laugh or cause to want to be in bed and forget that the day has even occurred. I really thought that I’ve been over this whole morning sickness for about two weeks now, but maybe with this cold that is lingering around it’s not helping me at my best.

Woke up the next day with awful headache. Kids would not let me sleep in…I don’t know about yours, but mine seem to be “HUNGRY” at every waking moment. I tried to work on some things that morning, but had to ask hubby to come home and relieve me so I could go back to bed. I was blessed that he did come home early and off to bed I went. 1pm and woke up at 4:30pm. I guess I needed that sleep really bad. Even the small things Shay does that makes me think, “Wow, how blessed am I!”

Well today is a new day! Woke up feeling great! As I was on the treadmill, my resourceful two year old…managed to grab a whole unopened container of vanilla yogurt out of the fridge and start his conquest. As I found out about it…I really didn’t know whether to laugh it off or punish him. He said, “I was hungry and so I got some yogurt.” I guess I’m glad he didn’t decide to grab a gallon of ice cream instead. I then had decided to make smoothies after finding what he had already accomplished. I knew that I had one banana left to make some, but it was missing from the fruit plate. Who shall I ask again….the lil two year old. And where did he stick that one banana that we needed. Oh yes he did! He stuck it in the trash can. Normally, I don’t recommend getting food out of the trash to eat, but it still had it’s peal on and was not touching anything that could be contaminated. We survived! No tummy aches, happy pallets, and happy people.

Oh it is the little things in life each day…I’m trying to cherish it more and more. I know that I get too busy and caught up with so many things…is that only my life? Or is yours the same way?

I feel as if there’s just not enough time, but why not slow it down and notice the little things that are such a blessing already. You may not know it or you may even miss it as it passes you by…but take a peak, pay attention, and listen to the lil giggles coming from the other room.

That has been our week…crazy, but fun…and the weekend is not even here yet…

I took notice how clean my floors looked after mopping it. Lasted maybe 5 minutes.

I like when shoes are put away. The kids don’t seem to care if the shoes are all together.
