At six months and weighing in at 13.2 lbs.YES, that’s correct 13.2 lbs. is my boy Ollie! I don’t know what to tell the doctors anymore.

My babies are all string bean babies. And I know you don’t quite believe that from how you see Shay and I, but it’s the truth.

I can’t fatten them up! Believe me I’ve tried. Constant nursing…yes all three of them were constantly nursing at one point and still none of them chunky thighs were ever produced.
But that’s ok with me. I know I’m missing out on those cheeks I can bite into, but I still throw a bunch of kisses left and right. I really think the doctors need to update their standard chart for growth. Don’t they know that people are ALL different? Yes, my babies are not your average bear! One was born at 5lbs. 12 oz., one at 7lbs 6.oz. and the whopper Ollie at 8lbs. 6oz. So please please pediatrics doctor, tell me that I’m doing something right and that my babies are great instead of making me feel like bad mom.

So at six months we begin solid foods. So far the favorites: green peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, avocado, watermelon and apple sauce. Bananas are a no no for lil Ollie. He just doesn’t seem to like the texture. Those of you out there…I had to review on how to make your own baby food since it’s been awhile. So if you want a little help on making some baby food a good place to start is from a guest blogger Robin Turner Williams. She wrote up this post via San Diego Deals and Steals where you can also find deals on all kinds of items, events, and outings for you and your family. Lot’s of them are even free! It’s a great blog to follow and you can also follow on Facebook.
