So a few weeks ago, I entered this contest that Anjuli of Photographs by Anjuli was having. The winner received a mentoring session with her. I entered just because it was fun. It’s not like I couldn’t call her up for advice or just to chat, but maybe I had a chance to win it. I didn’t think I would because there were many others who entered. Like everyone else, I waited for that big announcement. No actually, I didn’t even check! After I woke up from my afternoon pregnancy nap, my smartphone was blinking at me saying that I received a wall message from Anjuli that I was the WINNER! Of course I couldn’t believe it. So I started gathering my thoughts. Not much I could gather, because all the information was jumbled in my head.
Then the time came where we sat down at Coffee Bean in Temecula and she pried open my brain. It was really great to have someone talk me through different things that I could do as far as photography and how it intertwines in my life. She helped me to see how time is so valuable and costly.
She advised me to start blogging. I’ve hesitated because I’m not the best writer in the world…ask my college professors, ask my sister who looked over all my college papers and Anjuli’s mom who’s an English prof. By the Lord’s grace that I even graduated from college.
Yes, I don’t feel eloquent to even begin to write, and I have a great reason for feeling that way. It’s ok though, does it really matter on who’s going to judge me out there in the world wide web? I got to get over this feeling of what other’s think about me. So here I am. Blogger?! ha!
I decided to call this “Thursday Afternoon Coffee”…before this third pregnancy, I was an avid coffee drinker. At least one cup a day….now maybe once a week. Not a very big desire to have that caffeine rush or that coffee taste in my system. Will it remain that way. Many may ask, how do you make it through the day without it? It’s those pregnancy naps that I take in the afternoon while my own toddlers nap. The Lord knew to create kids to nap so their pregnant mothers can nap too!
I’m looking forward to hearing from you and your day to day things. Below is one thing that has scared the living day lights out of me…finding out that a baby rattlesnake was in our yard and Walle walked right by it. What has scared you like that?
The other pics….well you guess when they were taken!
